WARD TO SELF
I want to put a caffeine IV into my arm, I'm so tired. I've been going into the lab almost everyday for the past three weeks. There has been an unusual amount of murders going on and I suppose it's weird to have to do autopsies on people I see in the journals everyday. It's disheartening actually. I love this job, but I didn't expect to see so many people I know. Suppose I went into the death business at a not so ideal time. I hope we can this done as soon as possible because I'm sure the Fenwicks want to put her to rest.

Marathon was a major success. I placed eighth! Not too shabby. Now I feel like doing a triathalon or something.
Easter was a nice little holiday. Went home, went to church (ugh), then went home and Mum cooked the biggest meal. I had to roll to the couch, literally. Ham, prime rib, Easter bread, devilled eggs. I definitely overate and I'm proud of it. How was everyone's Easter?

Well, at least there's a few bright spots during these dreary times, one of those things being that my brother Evan is officially engaged to his girlfriend. So congratulations to my brother! Yay, weddings!

Did that sound too sarcastic? I was going for supportive. Anyways, the truth of it is that Evan's girlfriend Natalie wants to elope and he doesn't, so now they're trying to bang out this wedding in two months and keep trying to enlist my help. I don't think I give off any wedding planner vibes, but apparently my experience in pageantry makes me the perfect candidate.

Fontana's, I will never look at you the same.
I have been worshiping the porcelain god all night. You may say that's too much information, but I feel it's a warning to stay away from Fontana's. Though we did get free cheesecake, which I left for my brother.

Not that I fancy myself an expert in Valentine's Day, but I am here to offer some advice that I learned from a famous philosopher named Otis Redding.
Ladies and gentleman, try a little tenderness. It could get you a long way. I mean that in every way possible. Also, I'm obligated to say squeeze her (or him), don't tease her (or HIM), never leave her (or HIM!)
Also, don't forget about protection! And an early Happy Valentine's Day to you all.

Oxford has been freakishly quiet since yesterday. Even the party boys are quiet tonight. It almost feels like a hush fell over all of the UK. If that was your plan, whoever decided to mutilate innocent people, well, bravo.

Like sushi, I definitely feel that working in the Crime Lab is an acquired art. Everyday is really interesting though, and I see all sorts of new things unlike anything I've ever seen in Mungo's, even on my A&E rotation, though I'll admit that if I'd wanted to be a Healer, that would've been what I wanted to go into. The hours are definitely something to get used to, though. It's like a weird, semi graveyard shift.
I was cleaning up around the flat (what else is new) and stumbled upon my season tickets for the Harpies. It really made me quite angry. How could the Harpies be deprived like this! Oh, and the Pride of Portree! Quidditch, you're sorely missed, a bright spot in this dark, dark world.

Evan told me he wants to propose to his girlfriend. I'm thinking about telling him to wait till after Felicity gets married. I mean, do we really need another bridezilla in our midst? And I see Evan's girlfriend turning into a crazy person who will want me to wear a tulle dress. TULLE. What the hell IS tulle anyways?
